Obstructionism? Filibuster? You are aware the Democrats had a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate for the first year of Obama’s presidency, aren’t you? You can add “Unable to unify the members of his own party” to the list of Obama failures, I guess.

Ummm, Dave. If your looking for the reasons Obama has failed to pass any legislative agenda, it might be wise to look in a mirror.

Never in the history of this country has obstructionism been more prevalent than it is today.

Rather than fight back or filibuster, why can’t the Republicans actually sit down and propose alternatives?

Failure to get his health care bill and Waxman/Markey passed, even with total Democratic control of Congress; extraordinarily high unemployment rates; a rapidly rising deficit (over and above what was “inherited”); failure to close Guantanamo; take your pick. You can throw in failure to secure the Olympics for Chicago and declining poll numbers too.

Hoffer’s observations were about mass movements in general, they weren’t directed at one particular movement. But the fact that there are loons on the right doesn’t excuse lunacy from the left.

Using Feinstein as a rebuttal, is to miss the entire point of where this all began. “Obama uses a teleprompter” was given birth as a talking point, that later was recognized as a *legitimate* issue to have with his ability to be President…what?…last year?

It was one of many talking points, given merit, by repeating it over and over again, as if no U.S President before him used it…or cue cards, or note cards, or printed speech on paper. It was a substance free *opinion*, given *factual* life by repetition.

Sarah *used* this non substantive *fact* as a prod to highlight Obama’s inefficiencies as President. While using crib notes on her hand during the bash.

If his teleprompter use has *substance*…then her palm note debacle is ALSO substance laden.

You can’t have it both ways.

I don’t see Feinstein or anyone else criticizing Obama for his use of a teleprompter before writiing notes on her hands. The only one to do that was Palin. Thus the hypocrisy of the entire matter.
